Homework

Children will receive one piece of either English or Maths homework each week along with a half termly topic homework map which will be in your child's bag on Friday 27th September. The children will receive a treat if they fill in their homework pyramid each half term. Please take the time to help your child with this and have lots of fun together.

As your child is now in Year 5/ 6- we would like you to try and read with your child as often as possible. The children will receive a raffle ticket each time they read at home and have a parent signature in their home-school book. Each half term each class will have a name pulled out of the box to receive a prize. So the more you read at home with your child, the better chance they have at winning a prize! 10 minutes a night really does makes all the difference!

Autumn Term 2- Topic homework was sent out on 8.11.19- could you please try to help your child complete one piece of homework from this once a week and then at the end of the term we will showcase their work and prizes will be given for the best homework!

Spring 1- On Friday 17th January 2020, Sharks will receive their half termly topic homework overview. Each week if you could please complete one piece from the homework sheet with your child and send it in to school the following week that would be great! Thank you.

Spring 2- On Friday 28th February 2020, Sharks will receive their half termly homework overview.

Each week if you could please complete one piece from the homework sheet with your child and send it in to school the following week that would be great! Thank you.

*******Below is a copy of 'The Jungle Book' Homework Grid for Spring 2 as well as some ideas for learning about our next topic due to the prolonged closure to school. I have also added lots of additional ideas to help you at home during this time. I've tried to keep them as interactive and hands on as possible with limited printing as most things can be done via the ipad or other resources. Please do as little or much as your child wants to. The main important thing is just have fun with your child- get out into the garden, bake, cook, play silly games, play board games! Do not worry about being teacher- just be Mum, Dad, Sister, Brother, Nan, Grandad or any other important person in their lives! You are all doing an amazing job!

Stay safe everyone, Miss Evans.
