Computing and new technologies are an important and valuable part of the Dame Ellen curriculum. All classes have access to iPads, iPCs and interactive whiteboards. Classes also have access to a specialised Computing Room complete with Apple Macs and a green screen.
'Digital Leaders' are identified amongst pupils and act as instructors for members of staff and their peers to support with the use of iPads.
We have a wide range of computing resources to engage pupils including programmable robots and drones; Lego WeDo 2.0; Skoog musical instruments; switch operated and remote control toys; and green screens.
The Computing Curriculum is designed to encourage independent use of technology; foster creativity; empower pupils through coding; and teach them to use technology safely and responsibly.
