STEM
Our STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) curriculum is fun, hands on and innovative. Each term we have a STEM day or week, including a week in line with National Science week.
During these times our pupils use their investigative and problem-solving skills to design and create to a given topic.
Our most recent STEM week revolved around Rapuzel and other Fairy Tales. During Rapunzel week our pupils helped Rapunzel to survive in the tower by designing and making pulleys to get supplies up to her. They also designed a safety net or parachute to save the Prince when he fell from the tower and finally each class blew up the tower to stop the witch in her tracks. These tasks combined all of the STEM skills in order to encourage the children to be independent learners and critical thinkers. Take a look at the slide show of pictures below!
Each year we also do a whole school, STEM-themed, Enterprise Week and a Stem-themed week alongside National Science week. Please look through the galleries below at our previous STEM activities and keep an eye out for new and updated photos.
