This half-term we will spend the first 2 weeks getting to know each other and our new environment and making new friends and relationships. For the remainder of the half-term our topic is ‘Pottery & Sculpture’. As a class, we will spend each week breaking down different ways of moulding, creating and printing the clay. We will have a different theme each week which will be updated on our Class Dojo page. Crickets are going to explore different textures, types of clay and other materials to ensure that they have a clearer understanding of the different key terms based around the Topic. 

As a class, we have explored all the different techniques when it comes to moulding the clay. We then produced our own pieces of art! As a class, we learnt a range of different skills, such as rolling, stretching, mark making and moulding the different types of clay. Crickets then rolled out the clay, printed different leaf prints onto the clay and then painted these ready for the Art Gallery on the 23rd October! We are all very excited about this.
