Seahorses

Seahorses class adults are Miss Eaton, Kerrie, Michelle and Teresa.

Summer Term 2

This last half term the Seahorses have really enjoyed the sunshine, using the outdoor areas as much as possible.  We loved Sports & Health week and made fruit smoothies in class.

At the end of June we were extremely lucky and were visited by professional musicians and got to see a real harp!

We will be sad to finish the year but have amazing memories and we're very excited for our new classes in September!

Seahorses have had a great start to the summer term, this week we're looking forward to our do and discover days in the sunshine.

Our topic this term is flour, we've been tasting different foods with flour and reading the story of The Gingerbread Man.

We've also been exploring flour in our sensory trays which has been lots of fun!

All of the Seahorses enjoyed our first swimming session and are looking forward to swimming for the rest of the term!

Spring Term 2
Seahorses have had a great first start to the half term.  We've been making the most of the warmer weather and have been using our iPads and the app chatterpix to explore plants around the school.

World Book day

The children had a fantastic day yesterday dressing up as book characters. They took part in telling stories to different classes and listening to stories. The children then took part in a parade to show off their wonderful costumes. Thank you for your support in this and for getting involved.

English

We have been basing a lot of our English work on our topic, this half term we will be focusing on Italy.  We will be writing pizza menus and opening up our own Italian restaurant!

Maths

In Maths we have been accessing our Maths board within the school independently, the activities change each week and this has enabled independent learning.  We are continuing our focus on number in the classroom and look forward to learning about halves and quarters when we make our pizzas next week.
