Here at Dame Ellen we provide many opportunies for our children to develop and improve their PHSE skills in the areas of self help and citizenship. We encourage the children, where possible, to be as independent as they can, providing opportunities to teach and practice vital life skills such as dressing, doing up buttons and laces, using a knife and fork and washing their hands and bodies. We also provide many opportunities to play games and activities where they can learn skills such as turn taking, following rules, sharing and joining in.
Keep your eye out for photographs coming soon...
We will be holding a 'Safety Week' from 31st October and we hope to have visitors in school including those from the Police Force, Fire Service and the RNLI. We will also have fire safety sessions at Forest school and will have a furry, 4-legged visitor from Lexi the dog to learn about dog safety.
