Enterprise week - next week, each class will be making things to sell. Please can each child bring in £2 on Friday 15th to spend at the enterprise fair. This is a children only event, with each class competing to raise the most money.
This academic year, Dame Ellen Pinsent School will be offering iPad training workshops led by staff from the school. We will be hosting five workshops across the year covering a range of topics from Animation to Coding and introducing attendees to a number of different apps on the iPad.
Dame Ellen Pinsent School is a primary school for children with special educational needs. iPads provide a vital role in teaching and learning across the curriculum. All pupils have access to iPads with one to one devices in most of our classes. A large number of our staff are Apple Teachers including those leading each workshop.
We use a wide range of computing resources to engage pupils including programmable robots and drones; Lego We Do 2.0; Skoog musical instruments; switch operated and remote control toys; and green screens. Most of these peripherals link to apps on Pupils’ iPads.
