Enabling Environments in the Early Years - 22/5/18

In this session, we will be thinking about technology and the way it enables learning in our classrooms. Early Years teachers in England hold on to the Enabling Environments principle tightly! Even if you are working outside of England, this principle is a great model for showing why technology should be used across the curriculum.

You can change any aspect of teaching and learning with this principle so let’s look at it as a way to support the use of technology.

We will look at different activities you can plan as adult directed experiences across the school year.

For this session, you will need to bring an iPad with Pic Collage (by Cardinal Blue), Book Creator (by Red Jumper Limited) and Puppet Pals (by Polished Play) apps downloaded.

Green Screen with iPad - 26/6/18

Green screen technology is widely used in film and television to show actors performing incredible feats: from floating in space to riding on dragons. We see it used everyday on the humble local news as presenters stand in front of animated weather maps.

In this session, we will be looking at how the use of green screens in the classroom can engage, enthuse and empower learners.

For this session, you will need to bring an iPad with Green Screen (by Do Ink) and iMovie (by Apple) apps downloaded.
