Computing

Computing and new technologies are an important and valuable part of the Dame Ellen curriculum. All classes have access to iPads, in class PCs and interactive whiteboards. Classes also have access to a specialised Computing Room complete with Apple Macs and a green screen.

'Digital Leaders' are identified amongst pupils and act as instructors for members of staff and their peers to support with the use of iPads.

We have a wide range of computing resources to engage pupils including programmable robots and drones; Lego WeDo 2.0; Skoog musical instruments; switch operated and remote control toys; and green screens.

Computing Overview

The Computing Curriculum is designed to encourage independent use of technology; foster creativity; empower pupils through coding; and teach them to use technology safely and responsibly.
