Class of 2018/2019

Welcome to Dolphins Class

We have had a fantastic year in Dolphin's class and we're very proud of the progress each and every child has made.  Please have a look in the album titled Summer term 2019 to see what we have been doing.

Please see our new photo albums on the left titled Summer term 2019!

 Our Class Team...

Miss. Burden is our class teacher and is supported by our amazing teaching assistants Andrina, Sarah, Afia and Michelle.  On Thursday's Andrina teaches us and we are lucky to be able to have forest school every Thursday.

Our Topic.....

This half term, Dolphins will enjoy learning about

"Journeys"

We will be looking at the different ways you can go on a journey and reading lots of stories based on journeys such as This is the Bear, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Where the Wild Things Are, Whatever Next and The Journey Home from Grandpa's

Please look at our new picture galleries on the left hand side of this page of what we have been getting up to in forest school and during our visits to the sensory room at the Chinn Brook Centre.

We have had a fantastic first half term in Dolphins and the children are all happy in their class.  Today we had a visit from Santa and he brought everybody a present please see our photographs in our album titled Santa's visit.  We hope that you have a wonderful Christmas holiday.

Our topic.........

This half term will be  food through stories and song.  During the first 2 weeks we will be focusing upon the Gingerbread Man it would be helpful if you could read this story with your child.

Please find the topic homework in the homework section on the left of the page it is titled Food through Stories.  We would really love to see how you get on with the activites.  A paper copy has also been sent home with your child.

In maths we have been counting sets of Gingerbread Men by rolling the dice and counting out the correct number to match the spots on the dice.  Some of us have even been able to add together two sets! We have also made some Gingerbread men out of playdough and chosen a Numicon shape to tell us how many buttons to put on our Gingerbread man.  Please see our photographs in our maths gallery.

We really enjoy our weekly visit to Forest school and have added more photos to our Forest school album.
