Today in English, the children learnt about Evacuation. They looked at the items inside the Evacuee’s suitcase and really enjoyed looking at the artefacts. The children tried to imagine how it may feel to be an evacuee in the war. We also discussed how the evacuees travelled to their new homes and what they may have taken as their personal belongings. The children then wrote a fact-file about being an evacuee in the war.
